Industrial-scale additive manufacturing company, Titomic has been certified a Research Service Provider (RSP) by Innovation and Science Australia, the statutory body that advises the Australian Government on innovation, research and science issues. The first additive manufacturer to get RSP status, it will allow Titomic to provide scientific or technical expertise and resources to perform research and development work for other companies. Combined with the engineering and commercial benefits of Titomic Kinetic Fusion, it will enhance Titomic's position as a world leader in advanced metal additive manufacturing and provide certified validation of prototypes and parts for high-technology industries such as aerospace and defence.
The RSP status also means Titomic can now attract R&D work through off-set credits from major defence primes. Australian Government defines offsets as being a requirement for a percentage of the contract's value to be subcontracted locally or for other forms of benefit to be granted, such as R&D work. In other words, Titomic has now become a credible R&D service provider to the world's largest defence and aerospace companies, providing a commercially focused alternative with reduced lead times, compared to Government institutional research providers such as Defence Science Technology Group.
