Unparalleled market insights of 3D printing at the IDTechEx Show! -

IDTechEx are delighted to be back in Berlin on 10-11 May for the annual 3D Printing Europe event and offers the opportunity for key innovators and end-users across several verticals to share their insights and expertise in the leading edge of additive manufacturing - www.IDTechEx.com/3DE17. IDTechEx Research forecasts the total market value of 3D printers, materials and services will be $40 billion by 2027.

What to expect at 3D Printing Europe 2017

The two-day conference track in Berlin commences with keynote speakers including IDTechEx technical expert, Dr Jon Harrop, whose unparalleled market insights into 3D printing will empower businesses to fully leverage this exciting technology as the market evolves over the next 10 years. Global market leader Hewlett-Packard will showcase materials for their hotly anticipated Jet Fusion technology. As world class experts in 3D printing software, Autodesk will discuss possible applications and best practices when it comes to integrating Additive Manufacturing with traditional manufacturing technologies.

3D Printing with Plastics

3D printing with plastics has the most diverse customer base of any printing process, ranging from hobbyists, to prosumers and industrial end-users, and the 3D Printing conference reflects this diversity. Formlabs will share their insights into bringing high resolution to desktop 3D printers. DSM Functional Materials will demonstrate how to decrease lead times and cost in injection molded parts using 3D Printed molds. Ricoh will shed light on how to navigate an increasingly complex market to empower Production Teams to select the right equipment and materials to meet their needs. Fraunhofer IGB will outline the future vision of bioprinting in which biomaterials with adjustable properties are applied to the engineering of tissue models.

3D Printing with Metals

Metal additive manufacturing will see rapid growth over the next ten years; the latest trends and innovations are covered in a session dedicated to this technology. Exova will expand upon the testing and qualification of metal 3D printed components, a key concern facing end users today. Cytosurge AG will present their FluidFM printer, capable of printing metals with submicron resolution. BotFactory will discuss their new approach for rapid prototyping. Voltera will illuminate the rise of rapid printed electronics, detailing its growth and enabling future adoption.

New Materials for 3D Printing

By expanding the range of materials capable of being 3D printed, we are moving closer to being able to additively manufacture anything. ACEO is pioneering 3D printing elastomers, and will focus on how there are developing this technology further. Materialise will demonstrate how organisations can ensure greater repeatability and quality control using their Control Platform and associated software solutions. Bluestar Silicones showcase how they are developing their performant silicone elastomeric compositions for 3D Printing and 3DCeram will showcase how their ceramic 3D Printer, the CERAMAKER, is bringing the possibility of additively manufacturing ceramics to new users. ChemCubed LLC will outline their multimaterial printing process which facilitates the concurrent printing of nanocomposite conductive materials within a 3D structure.

Enabling Technologies for 3D Printing

Of course, rapid innovation within 3D Printing is further facilitated through enabling technologies such as software solutions. myProductLab will discuss their platform which utilises a network of local SMEs and talentpool to offer end to end product development for additive manufacture. Digits2Widgets will demonstrate applications where the capability of 3D printing is maximised. Photocentric will focus on how large format LCD arrays for photopolymerisation can industrialise 3D Printing. Frustrum will share insights into how their cloud-based software, Generate, is bringing topology optimisation to the designer and enabling the full design freedom of 3D printing to be realised.
